  • Do you have a shop where I can drop my device at?
    No. Currently TBTEK is online only, so devices will need to be posted, following the instructions provided after purchasing a service. A postage label will be provided. Depending on your location we may be able to offer a pickup/drop off service via one of our Technicians. This will be offered to the customer if available.
  • Do you do offer repairs on iPads/Tablets?
    Unfortunately, we do not currently offer hardware repairs (screen/battery etc.) for iPads/Tablets. However we do offer support for software related issues, data recovery and/or wipe/OS re-install in most cases. Please get in touch if you have any enquiries.
  • Why can I not get a full refund if I don’t want to proceed with a repair?
    To cover the cost of time/labour, any service will be subject to a minimum diagnosis fee that is non-refundable, this covered in the cost of the repair and is made clear prior to purchasing our services. If at any point the customer changes their mind or declines a quote while service is in progress, any refunds will not include this fee. We strongly suggest that customers only book in devices that they are serious about getting fixed/upgraded to avoid disappointment.
  • If I have to return my device to TBTEK under warranty, how does this work?
    Before enquiring about a warranty return, please try all of the basic troubleshooting steps provided by your particular device’s manufacturer. If you have tried the troubleshooting steps and are still facing issues, please get in touch with us and we will provide assistance. For Software Services, we may insist on a remote session to resolve your issue, for Repair/Upgrade Services we will provide instructions for postage back to us. Faulty parts will be replaced free of charge during the warranty period. Postage is not included for warranty returns, however we will usually cover one way to reduce the inconvenience.
  • Why am I asked to share my devices password when purchasing certain services?
    TBTEK Technicians require full access to your device to fully test individual components' functionality (camera, touch screen, speakers, buttons etc.). Our checks are our quality control, designed to confirm intended functionality of the device before we return it to you. We also use them to determine if there are any additional underlying issues that the customer has not disclosed or is not aware of on arrival to us.
  • I don’t want to give access to any personal data on my device, can I still use TBTEK services?
    Yes, however, without full access to a device, we are unable to complete our checks of your devices' functionality. This means any future labour to be carried out during a warranty return is chargeable. Alternatively, customers can reset their device back to factory settings prior to sending it to us to remove any data and passcodes. Please proceed with caution when wiping your device, as per our terms, the customer is responsible for their data. Tip: If you have an iPhone you can do a full encrypted backup to a computer via iTunes, then wipe the device prior to sending to us. After the repair, you can restore the backup from iTunes which should return everything including saved passwords.
  • I have sent an enquiry but not had a reply yet, why?​
    We monitor our messages during working hours only. If you have sent an inquiry outside of these hours, we will pick it up as soon as we are next open. This is also the case if we are closed due to unforeseen circumstances or bank holidays. Customers will be inform of any closures via a website banner on our homepage. Any enquiries will be addressed when we are next open. Please do not send multiple enquiries before receiving a response, this will not increase our response rate. Rest assured we will respond as soon as possible.
  • Are the parts you use original vendor? (Apple, Samsung etc.)
    Unless otherwise stated, all our parts are non-original and are instead high-quality replacements. These parts look and perform closely to the originals and in some cases (batteries especially) may outperform the original part.
